Monday 18 – Thursday 21 December, 9.30am-4pm

If you're in need of some help this winter then look no further than our Skills Hub Christmas week.

From Monday 18 to Thursday 21 December, we'll be providing a wide range of support and advice at our Stanley Skills Hub, from prepping and getting support over the winter, to advice on the cost of living. Plus, there'll also be a day of Christmas fun!

Monday - Prepping for the winter

Come and meet our New Housing team who will be offing support on housing queries, bidding on properties, keeping warm, how to bleed your radiators, frozen condensates, re-setting meters, re-pressuring boilers and reporting repairs.

Tuesday - Cost of living

Our Customer Accounts team will be on hand to give advice on rent arrears and paying your rent over the close down period, what to do if you're worried about not being able to pay and information on food bank, energy bank and Christmas Day dinner referrals. Plus we'll also be giving out food hampers on the day.

Wednesday - Support for the winter

The Foundations for Life team are here to provide support on mental wellbeing, knowing who to talk to and knowing what support is available and open during the Christmas/new year period. We'll also be doing Christmas crafts and giving you an update on what's on at the Skills Hub in 2024.

Thursday - Christmas Fun!

Our Christmas week will finish with lots of festive fun - there'll be a coffee morning with Silver Talk - our friends on the phone service for people aged 50 and over, there'll be some Christmas caroling, more Christmas crafts and the chance for the kids to meet Santa Claus who'll be giving out some sweet treats.

Plus, there'll be the chance to get a taste of some of the courses and sessions we offer at the Skills Hub.

We'll be open from 9.30am-4pm every day. The sessions are open to all and you can pop in anytime during our opening hours.

Our Stanley Skills Hub is located at 23-33 Front St, Stanley DH9 0JE.

We ho-ho-hope to see you there!
