Karbon has partnered with housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to deliver a development of high quality homes in Ripon.
Fountains Walk, which is due to start on site in December, will comprise 390 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes on a site off West Lane in the North Yorkshire town.
We will be taking on 156 of the new homes, which will be available for a mix of both affordable rent and affordable home ownership schemes shared ownership and Rent to Buy, helping address the demand for affordable housing in the county.
Zoey Hawthorne, Assistant Director of Development Delivery at Karbon Homes, said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire on this exciting new development in Ripon. We have a great working relationship with Taylor Wimpey, having partnered on sites across the North East and Yorkshire, and we’re looking forward to working with the team to bring this mixed tenure development to fruition.
“The development will offer a mix of housing options, catering for the wants and needs of a diverse mix of local people. 109 homes will be available for Affordable Rent, with the remaining 57 available through affordable home ownership schemes, helping support more of the next generation of homeowners to achieve their first step on the property ladder.”
The new development has been thoughtfully designed to create a strong sense of community, with landscaped green open spaces, play parks, and recreational seating areas. It will also feature panoramic views of Ripon Cathedral, Studley Park and the neighbouring countryside.
Nicki Hope, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing this new development to Ripon. Our team has worked incredibly hard to create a development that will integrate into an already thriving community, and we think people will be really impressed to see it come together.
On completion our 156 affordable homes will be managed by our North Yorkshire subsidiary, 54North Homes.
