“The communication and support provided for Kai, even though we're at early stages, has been fantastic. You are clear in setting expectations as to what can and can't be done but where limitations exist, you are very quick to provide appropriate avenues for us to explore and use. This makes a difference from the standard "sorry, not my department/job". It is using your available knowledge to redirect and support, even when direct help isn't possible.  You follow through and follow up, showing continuity of care.  It is not a "one and done".  You let Kai (and me!) lead in true supportive methods - you are not taking over but guiding and doing so without judgement.

Sean is a Foundations Tutor who has worked for Karbon for five years delivering literacy and numeracy skills across the region.
