New Start - career starter opportunities

New Start gives you real life work experience, with a real wage and the opportunities you need to boost your career. 

New Start helps unlock your potential, addressing barriers to employment and supporting them to find the new start they've been looking for.

There are 30 roles available exclusively for social housing customers 

The roles are five month placements suitable for customers aged 18+ living in Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside. 

In line with our vision to help customers lead successful, independent lives, it felt only right that these opportunities should be kept for the people we’re constantly striving to support, those living in our homes.

There's no experience or qualifications necessary for the roles. You'll also get 121 support from an employment advisor throughout the process, helping to get the most from the placement.

Whether you're looking for your first job, to get back into work or wanting to change your career path, these opportunities will help you take the first steps on your career ladder.
