A continued partnership with Karbon has enabled North East housebuilder Homes by Carlton to acquire land for a new 46-unit housing development in Sadberge, County Durham.
The scheme will be known as Saxon Vale and will comprise a mix of three, four and five-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes. Construction is due to start on-site later this year.
Karbon is providing the full funding package for the development through a joint venture funding partnership.
Simon Walker, Managing Director of Homes by Carlton, said: “Following our Joint Venture funding partnership for Woodberry Park in Staindrop, we’re delighted to be working with Karbon Homes once again.
“I believe this funding structure is an excellent example of an innovative approach to enabling regional house builders like ourselves to deliver high-quality homes throughout the North East, providing prospective home buyers with more choice.”
Saxon Vale represents a £13 million investment and forms part of a £60 million commitment from Homes by Carlton to deliver high quality homes throughout the North East, creating hundreds of jobs over the coming years.
Sarah Robson, Director of Development at Karbon Homes, said: “Through Next Level Developments, Karbon Homes’ Joint Venture funding arm, we are committed to supporting regional housebuilders in the development of much-needed new homes. The returns from this then support our own continued investment in our affordable homes programme.”
