Karbon families across North Durham have received a special treat from Santa this Christmas thanks to a partnership with our contractor RE:GEN Group.
As part of RE:GEN’s toy donation appeal, dozens of beautifully wrapped goodies were delivered to our Santa’s Grotto at the Stanley Skills Hubs at the beginning of the week and have been given out to families lucky enough to get their hands on one of our golden tickets.
With toys suitable for children of all ages the appeal has been a welcome help to lots of families, especially those who are feeling the pinch this Christmas.
Suzanne Jobson, Foundations for Life Manager at Karbon Homes, said: “As the cost-of-living crisis becomes a reality for more and more within our communities, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with RE:GEN Group and help distribute their toy donations to our Karbon families in time for Christmas.
“The donations have been really well received and so many families have expressed how grateful they are.”
Santa’s Grotto is one aspect of a week of activities at the Stanley Skills Hub, which opened its doors as a warm hub for the week.
As well as festive drinks and biscuits and the chance to log onto the wi-fi, people could chat to the team about their housing needs and how they can access the various other support services Karbon offers.
