We're committed to playing our part in creating a sustainable environment for current and future generations.
In 2019 the Government introduced the legally binding target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050 as part of their clean growth strategy.
Whilst this may seem a long time away, we need to act now to achieve this and there are lots of milestones on the way.
Our Response to Climate Change project has been set up to address this challenge and as part of our aim, to improve the quality and sustainability of our homes and embed sound environmental practices.
Our response to the climate change challenge is:
To be a responsible ‘climate canny’ landlord
Provide affordable warm homes to our customers
Be a progressive business whose people take environmental decisions into account as part of our decision making
Ensure we do our very best for our customers, people and environment
We are passionate about doing the right thing
We will consider our environmental impact and decarbonisation across all our activities, demonstrating commitment to our established ‘sound business head with a strong social heart’ approach.
