New Start roles - Tees Valley

New Start is Delivered on behalf of Tees Valley Combined Authority as part of the Move Forward programme.


Please note that these roles are only open to residents living in the Tees Valley area.

If you are not currently working or actively seeking employment, support is available to help you move forward personally or into work.

Our flexible support is tailored to you

We will work with you to make sure you get the right support to meet your goals and aspirations.

This could include support to:

  • Build resilience, confidence and self-esteem
  • Join and access community groups
  • Help address any barriers that might be restricting access to community services and job opportunities
  • Maximise financial support and benefits you might be entitled to
  • Help manage your caring or childcare responsibilities
  • Access to job search, work experience and skills
  • Access mainstream or specialist support services

Please note – these roles are exclusively part of the funded Move Forward programme and will therefore require you to be eligible and registered on the Move Forward programme to apply for these roles. You can register here.

These roles have been specifically created for residents of Tees Valley (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington, Redcar, Hartlepool and Cleveland) aged 18+.

You need to either be in receipt of sickness related benefits, or not claiming any benefits at all.
