Influencing change

Since the report was launched, we have been meeting with policy makers, politicians and sector leaders to introduce them to the Fair Foundations approach and influence placeshaping and regeneration policy and practice.

A few highlights include:

• Launch of the report at the Northern Housing Summit in early 2023
• Creation of the Foundational Economy Place Network comprising housing associations and local authorities sharing best practice in placeshaping
• A roundtable with Inside Housing, discussing the key concepts behind the Fair Foundations approach
• Meeting with Andrew Lewer MP, Member of the Levelling up, Housing and Communities Select Committee
• Visit by Alex Norris, Shadow Levelling Up Minister to the Byker Estate
• Visit by Bridget Phillipson, Shadow Education Minister, and Kevan Jones MP to the Stanley Skills Hub
